How to organise a wake in your community and the support we offer, join a global community and sign our book of condolence, and share the project on social.

Organise a wake for a vanishing world

We want to engage with individuals, groups, communities and organisations on a local level, working with activists, elders, children in schools, the disadvantaged and indigenous groups, to build bridges and unite all voices in the universal story of grief and celebration of life.

If you would like to request a wake in your local community, contact us for a chat.

Sign our book of condolence

Share your stories of love and loss in the book of condolence.

We plan to collate your words, photos and art into a digital story book when the project closes.

We want to try and reach as many people as possible with the programme. So would really appreciate you sharing our social channels with your networks:

  • share our Facebook page, for the latest news and updates
  • share our Twitter, for the latest conversations with like-minded folk
  • share our Instagram, for the latest photos and artistic creations.

“I have not a clue whether we humans will live for another 100 or 10,000 years. We can’t be sure. What matters to me is the fact we have fallen out of a very ancient love affair – a kind of dream tangle, with the earth itself. If through our own mess, that relationship is about to end, then we need to scatter as much beauty around us as we possibly can, to send a voice, to attempt some kind of repair.”
